We've been talking about the 'EPOS Server' for a while now. But what is it and what's behind it? This article is an in-depth explanation of the changes and new naming conventions.
Until recently, our System Copy Software "BlueCopy" was used on the BlueCopy Server, and our Automation software EPOS was used on the EPOS Server. However, with the release of our latest version, 23.11, we have made some changes: we've now fully integrated BlueCopy, BlueClone, and BlueClient into the EPOS Server for a unified experience. This means that the same basis is used for topics such as access management, web user interface, logging, connect modules, etc.
If you are a BlueCopy user, please note that there is no need to worry. Nothing has changed for you and you can continue to use BlueCopy the same way you always have. You do not need to perform any changes as your configuration will be automatically adopted during your next update. The only change that has occurred is that the Server now has a new name, and BlueCopy can also be used in the new design of our EPOS WebUI.
From now on, the EPOS Server will form the basis of all our existing software solutions:
Different engines host different solutions (or apps as we call them in EPOS).
Which of these solutions can ultimately be used depends on the licences that have been purchased. For example, customers that have purchased a BlueCopy licence can continue to use BlueCopy as usual in the new environment:

Similarly, customers who have purchased an EPOS license can use all the EPOS apps they have purchased.

Customers who have purchased both EPOS and BlueCopy licenses can now use both EPOS and BlueCopy using the EPOS WebUI.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at any time. We are here for you!
