One of the key highlights of the new version is the fully automated renewal workflow. The entire process runs without manual intervention:
1. Request: The ACME client integrated in EPOS sends a certificate request to your Certification Authority (CA), for example Let's Encrypt.
2. Validation: Domain ownership is verified automatically (e.g. via HTTP-01 or DNS-01 challenge).
3. Installation: After successful validation, the CA returns the signed certificate and EPOS installs it directly in the target system. The entire process can be controlled via cron job or timer.
